More than Just Gardening

The Nash County Arboretum is maintained by the Nash County Extension Master Gardener Association (501 (c)(3) non-profit) and a NC Extension Agent. Together, we aim to make educating the community our primary goal. By implementing a mixture of hands on activities and presentations we are able to reach all people in the community.

Our education is focused around gardening, conservation, sustainability, and wildlife. We also frequently work with many other local non-profits to try and bring a larger range of educational benefits closer to you.

Whether it is gardening, birding, symposiums, school activities, photography or community outreach, we have something that everyone can enjoy. We look forward to seeing you at this beautiful arboretum!!

The Extension Master Gardener Volunteer Association of Nash County has a board of officers that meet monthly and help direct fundraising and programming.  The board members change yearly after an election in the month of December.

For the purposes of facilitating communication to local media, our Publicist also typically attends the monthly board meetings.
